This free iPhone application uses GPS to help locate yoga classes and studios in your area that use the MindBody studio software to schedule classes. You can search by zip code, a search radius, or class time. The app provides studio info, teacher name (and info, when available), and the ability to mark favorites for future reference.
For San Franciscans – the app lists classes for the following studios, just to name a few:
- Aha Yoga
- BendSF
- Funky Door
- Yoga Tree
- Yoga Kula
- Laughing Lotus
- Yoga Mayu
- Yoga Garden
- Mission Yoga
- Pilates ProWorks
- Yoga Works
- The Yoga Loft
The bottom line: Perfect for people who don’t have a “home base” yoga studio that they regularly go to, or if you’re traveling and are unfamiliar with the area’s yoga offerings. I’m curious as to how this will work in a city that doesn’t have as many yoga studios as SF does, but regardless, it’s a pretty nice (and free!) application!
